The Buckaroosters

A Fraternal Order of Musicians
Est. 1948
Our Story
In 1948, Norval Langworthy — a Chicago advertising executive who had grown up in Montana — returned to the Boulder River with a handful of friends who shared his loves: fly fishing, barbershop quartet singing, and the particular freedom of a week away from the rest of the world.
What he started became the Buckaroosters. Every year since, a fraternal order of musicians has gathered at the Langworthy family cabin on the Boulder River for one week — playing music late into the night, fishing the river by day, and honoring three inviolable rules.
“No religion. No politics. No gambling.”
